Biblical Garden tour stage 3

Garden

The Biblical Garden on the grounds of Temple Sinai was begun in 1975 by Edward E. and Anna Lee Kahn after a trip to the Holy Land where they were privileged to see the plans and beginning of Neot Kedumin, the 400-acre garden between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in Israel. They were so excited about the possibilities of such a garden, that on their return home they asked permission of the Board of Directors of Temple Sinai, if they might begin such a garden on unused land on the northwest side of the Temple. Permission was granted and in 1976 after a drainage system, walks, and a Succah had been completed, the first beds were developed and planting was begun.
