Some of the other plant words seem to refer merely to a detail of plant structure or to a whole plant group, rather than to any individual kind of plant.  Examples are the words usually translated as “thorn” (qots) and as “rush” or “reed” (agmon).  They may have been the names of particular species, but today there is no way of knowing which thorny plant or which reed was meant.
